The Witch and the Police—Love Story on Moon

Episode 1- The born of a witch
On a stormy night, thunders roar, cockroaches and rats were running about, something unusual was happening. A baby’s cries were heard, so eerie that could make your hair stand. A witch was born. The nurse carried the baby witch out of the room and suddenly screamed ‘Ah!!!!’ The baby witch, Jinling’s nose cut her arm and she was bleeding profusely. The witch’s journey began here. A story of love, passion and adventure is to be continued…

Episode 2- Hidden identity of a normal girl
One day when she was 17 years old, her life changed when she stepped into a magical land called JJC. She met all sort of weird people from all walks of life. Some of the people she met included: Baihua, Liang cha, Sunflower, Da Fun Shu, Popeye, and Police*. She had to hide her identity from her friends. She was a student by day and a witch at night. At night, she would join hands with other witches and turn evil people into frogs and trying to improve her skills to turn people into more things like lizard, cockroach. In school, she was constantly being laughed at because of her sharp nose and her unusual behavior like stealing brooms and sitting on the broom. Ah Wei always went to her rescue but Jinling never appreciated his goodwill and felt that he was a hypocrite. Ah Wei then became her enemy and they seldom talk to each other.

Episode 3- The 15 Moons
8 Years had passed. There were 15 moons at first. Ah Shin was very popular. He wrote a song called fly to the moon. After that he took a spaceship to the moon. Jinling, being crazy with him, decided to follow him. But there were 15 moons; she could not decide where to fly to. She looked at her crystal ball. She realized that Ah Shin was on a moon called a Planet of May. But before she could set off, a terrible thing happened. Hou Yi shot down 14 moons, including the one Ah Shin was on. The Witch was so depressed but she did not give up hope. She believed that Ah Shin will be on the leftover moon called Planet of Love. Then, she flew up to the moon on her broom. Before she reached, she heard a voice. ‘Jinling! Come and join me!’ That voice sounded familiar. So she decided to walk towards the voice. As she went nearer, she spotted a handsome guy called Ah Wei. He quarreled with Abel and was being trapped by him in the moon; he then became a police on Moon. He could not return to Earth and was so lonely. When Jinling saw him, she suddenly remembered 8 years ago…their rumor and she wanted to turn and fly away. But, she accidentally dropped her broom to the Earth.

Episode 4- The reunion
While she was about to drop down, ‘Ah……’ Ah Wei gave her his hand. As she landed on the moon, her teary eyes looked at Ah Wei. ‘Ah Wei, you are my savior’ she whispered. Ah Wei was mesmerized. They were surprised that after so many years, they could still reunion. She gave him a necklace to thank him for being such a hero. The necklace was given by her father when she attended the witch school. Ah Wei then brought her to tour around the moon and introduced her to his friends, Chang er and Rabbit and his girlfriend, Mooncake. Mooncake had been in love with Ah Wei for a few years ever since she reported her lost wallet at the moon police station. Everything seems so peaceful and Jinling was about to turn in for the night, thinking of leaving back to Earth the next day, when suddenly… The whole moon was shaking! ‘Earthquake! Earthquake!’ Jinling shouted as she ran out of her room. Ah Wei was also walking out from his room and ran into Jinling. ‘Jinling calm down! This is not Earth. No earthquake here. You will be safe. The moon must have some announcement for us.’ He speaked in a calm manner. They assembled at an open area and heard a voice saying ‘Announcement please, announcement please! Witch Jinling left the earth without permission, this violated section 21(a) of the witch law. She has to receive punishment. Her punishment is to stay on the moon to learn Qin qi shu hua from Chang er. Once she learnt all this, she will be able to leave the moon and fly back to the Earth.’ This was the voice of the Witch queen. The witch queen had always view Jinling as her future daughter-in-law, wanting her to marry her son, Abel. Through this training, the witch queen could then train her to become Shu nu and her ideal daughter in- law.

Episode 5- Love Journey begins here
After Ah Wei saved her, she doesn’t hate him that much already. But since she was being forced to stay on the moon, she started to miss her parents and always hide in a corner and cried. Ah Wei saw this scene and consoled her. She also approached Ah Wei when she had any problems with her lessons. Once, while Jinling was running on the road as she was late for lesson, she sprained her leg and could not walk. She had no choice but to call Ah Wei. Ah Wei rushed to her within 5 minutes (as the police station is very near), even more efficient than an ambulance. He carried her all the way from the road to Chang er’s school. And once, Jinling said that she miss the cakes on Earth. Ah Wei immediately went to take up baking lesson. As he was talented, he learnt how to bake cakes within 3 lessons. To show off his talents, he made 100 cakes for Jinling. Tiramisu, Black forest, Chocolate, Blueberry, cheese… (Too many to be mentioned). Jinling was touched by his actions, and they soon became very good friends.

Episode 6- Love or hatred?
These were all viewed in the eyes of Ah Wei’s girlfriend, Mooncake. She became jealous and was angry that Ah Wei did not have enough time for her just because of Jinling. She wanted to get rid of Jinling! She finally took up her courage and tried to poison Jinling by putting poison into a carrot and passed it to Jinling, hoping that she would disappear from moon after eating it. But Mooncake failed. Rabbit saw the carrot; Jinling saw its saliva dripping and so offered it the carrot. It ate the carrot and died a few hours later. Jinling was heart broken to see her good friend died. Jinling and Ah Wei then went on to investigate this case as they believed that Rabbit’s death is unnatural. They then found out that Mooncake is the culprit since the last food that Rabbit ate was the carrot given by Mooncake. Ah Wei could not believe that Mooncake was such an evil person but since he was the police, he had to uphold the law. He decided to arrest Mooncake; he then went to Mooncake’s house but realized there was no one there! Mooncake had escaped!

Episode 7- Bye! Ah Wei!
Never did Ah Wei realize that Mooncake had gone hiding at Jinling’s house. She wanted to kill Jinling with the knife on her hand. Jinling secretly called Ah Wei’s no. Upon knowing this and listening to their conversation, Ah Wei immediately rushed to Jinling’s house. He reached there and was shocked to see Mooncake putting a knife across Jinling’s neck. He tried to calm Mooncake down and wanted her to surrender but she just refused. While Mooncake was about to kill Jinling, he suddenly rushed forward and get himself injured! Jinling screamed! ‘Ah Wei, don’t leave me!’ But the ambulance came too late and Ah Wei died. Mooncake was arrested by the other police on the moon. Jinling was very very very sad. She gave him a kiss. Upon receiving her kiss, he suddenly woke up but turned into a frog. She was depressed and carried him back. She wanted to go back to Earth to beg the Witch Queen to save Ah Wei but she cannot as she has to complete her training. She was still half trained and had to pass the exam before she could go back to Earth. She worked very hard every day, hoping to get back to Earth as soon as possible.

Episode 8- The Finale
3 Months later, Jinling managed to pass the Qin qi shu hua exam and finally returned back to Earth. And as the witch queen had hoped, she became a shu nu. The Queen was overjoyed! She began to prepare for the wedding between her son, Abel and Jinling. The first thing Jinling did upon returning to Earth was to beg the witch queen to turn Ah Wei back into human. The witch queen then learnt about the love story between Jinling and Ah Wei, she was frustrated! But she knows that if she did not save Ah Wei, Jinling would never marry her son and she did not want to miss such a good daughter in- law. She agreed to save Ah Wei but her condition is that Jinling must marry Abel and she should never see Ah Wei again. Jinling agreed to her condition, she would rather sacrifice her happiness in exchange for Ah Wei’s life just like how Ah Wei sacrificed his life in exchange for Jinling’s life. Ah Wei was saved but he forgot everything between himself and Jinling as he was given Meng po tang by the queen. Jinling was contented since at least he was safe and sound. But she just could not control her tears from falling as the wedding day come nearer and nearer. Upon seeing this, Abel went to beg the Queen. He said that they should not be so selfish by not letting Jinling to obtain her happiness. The Queen was then finally touched by this type of true love and agreed to let Jinling to contact Ah Wei. She then gave a soup to Ah Wei and let him regain his memory. BUT! The wedding was not cancelled. This time, it was the wedding between Jinling and Ah Wei. Baihua, Liang cha, Sunflower, Da Fun Shu and Popeye went to their wedding dinner and sent in their blessing and witness their kiss. Jinling and Ah Wei then live happily ever after!!
